Food a Fieldays focus

Food a Fieldays focus

Visitors to this year's Mystery Creek Fieldays will discover what food safety traceability is all about when they visit the New Zealand Food Safety Authority's stand.

In keeping with the show's Traceability theme, visitors will find out how NZFSA works to ensure our food industry remains a trusted supplier of safe and suitable food around the world.

Brochures and displays will offer an at-a-glance guide to the checks and processes in place at all stages of food production – from growing through processing, purchasing, preparing and eating – that go towards ensuring the food you eat is as safe and suitable as it can possibly be.

Additional food safety information will provide a behind-the-scenes view of the operational standards, regulations and approval processes that ensure our animal, dairy and plant products comply with our own safety requirements – and those of our trading partners.

Our key roles of protecting consumers at home and overseas from food safety risks and facilitating market access for the food produced by our agricultural and farming industries means we take our attendance at Fieldays seriously.

Every year our technical experts are on hand to answer queries from consumers, farmers, industry and agricultural representatives about food exports and imports, access to markets, and all your other food safety concerns.

Brochures, leaflets, handouts and fact sheets will be available on subjects of interest to consumers of all ages, as well as farmers and food industry experts.

NZFSA is totally committed to protecting consumers of New Zealand food – wherever they may be. Find out how by visiting our stand (P60 in the Grand Pavilion) at the National Fieldays, Mystery Creek, Hamilton from 13-16 June.
