New editor announced for New Zealand Weddings

5 June 2007: Pacific Magazines is delighted to announce the appointment of Melissa Gardi as editor, New Zealand Weddings magazine.

Currently the Pictures Director across all titles at Pacific Magazines, Gardi will take up the role of New Zealand Weddings editor from June 2007 after incumbent editor Nicky Pellegrino departs to pursue her third novel.

Says Gardi: "I am excited to work on building the momentum of New Zealand Weddings with such a fantastic team. It's a beautiful magazine and I look forward to growing it as an inspiring, informative resource for the New Zealand bride on her journey towards what will be one, if not the most, memorable days in her life."

Gardi's significant experience in magazines and photography made her the ideal choice for the role, says Vicki Lee, Managing Director of Pacific Magazines New Zealand. Commenting further on the appointment, Lee says:

"Melissa is an award-winning wedding photographer and has always shown an absolute passion for this title and we are delighted to announce her appointment. It is an exciting time to take the helm of New Zealand Weddings with readership at an all-time high.

"New Zealand Weddings is New Zealand's most stylish bridal magazine and Melissa has a very clear vision for the magazine which we look forward to enjoying as the next issue evolves."

Gardi bring over 15 years of photographic experience in syndication and shoot production, combined with advertising experience in both corporate and commercial ventures. Her magazine experience includes picture roles for a number of magazines including Harper's Bazaar, Planet and Interview.
