UDC Finance named as finance partner for Ford and Mazda in NZ

In a decision announced today, UDC Finance has been appointed the preferred wholesale and retail finance supplier for Ford New Zealand and Mazda New Zealand.

As part of this arrangement, UDC will provide consumer car loan capabilities to Ford and Mazda dealerships in New Zealand.

As an asset finance specialist, UDC Finance is the market leader in auto finance in New Zealand, backed by an AA credit rating from international ratings agency Standard and Poor’s. Seventy years in the asset finance sector in New Zealand and a focus on automotive finance has put UDC in exactly the right position to take up this partnership opportunity says UDC Chairman David Hisco.

“Our proposition has recently been greatly enhanced by the recently launched “UDC Live” product which is an online ‘real-time’ car loan processing capability available through dealerships, which creates the engine for dealer-originated loans,” says Hisco.

“This technical capability is backed up by a very experienced management team in New Zealand who have built a leading dealer finance platform. This, combined with our knowledge gained from working with the auto industry in Australia, has enabled us to clearly demonstrate how we can add value to a dealer principal’s business. This new relationship adds to the momentum we’ve already developed at UDC.”

UDC Finance will begin retail finance business with Ford and Mazda dealerships on June 15, 2007.
