Be Part Of The America's Cup Action with Emirates

Emirates, the Dubai-based international airline, still has opportunities for its New Zealand customers to be part of Emirates Team New Zealand's challenge for the 32nd America's Cup.

Emirates Team New Zealand will face Team Alinghi in the 32nd America's Cup, the oldest active trophy in international sport, which begins just off the coast of the Mediterranean city of Valencia on June 23.

Emirates is offering unique land-based packages of three-nights accommodation including buffet breakfast at the AC Valencia Hotel. The highlight of the stay in Valencia is undoubtedly the visit to the Emirates Team New Zealand base camp at the Port America's Cup and one day race viewing onboard the Team's VIP boat, including full hospitality.

The cost of the packages are GBP 1280 / EUR 1850 for two people sharing and GBP 925 / EUR 1325 for a single; further information on bookings can be found at www.emirates.com.

Ghaith Al Ghaith, Emirates' Executive Vice President, Commercial Operations Worldwide, said: "Emirates is very proud of its association with Emirates Team New Zealand; they have proved themselves a formidable challenger. The 32nd America's Cup will be a fascinating spectacle and with Emirates' exciting packages our customers now have the opportunity to witness this historic sporting event first hand."

After lifting the Louis Vuitton Cup, the series of races which decided the America's Cup challenger, on Wednesday afternoon, Grant Dalton, Managing Director, Emirates Team New Zealand, said: "I would just like to say congratulations to Luna Rossa - they were a fantastic team and gave us a very good contest.

"My thanks also go to our main sponsors Emirates, Toyota, and Estrella Damm, without them we wouldn't be here. But I want to say mainly to all of you, to all of our supporters here, in New Zealand, and around the world, thank you, you are absolutely brilliant."

The 32nd America's Cup match will be decided by the best of nine races.
