Organics Has Award Winning Fieldays Presence
Organics Aotearoa New Zealand (OANZ) is delighted that their exhibit at Mystery Creek Fieldays has been awarded as the best site in the Premier Feature.
Ken Shirley, OANZ Executive Director, said that the exhibit reflected the efforts of a large team presenting the organic sector ‘from paddock to plate’.
“The OANZ Fieldays exhibit brings together our Organic Advisory Programme, organic certifiers, producer groups, interest groups and marketing bodies – including Fonterra and Zespri, two of farming’s best known brands”, Mr Shirley said.
“Certified organic production fits perfectly with this year’s Fieldays theme of ‘traceability’. Consumers can be assured that the logos of AgriQuality, BioGro, Demeter and Organic Farm New Zealand guarantee that both production and processing comply with an independent set of accepted standards.
“Steady foot traffic through our site reflects the groundswell of interest in organics, with the OANZ Organics Advisory Programme receiving a steady stream of enquiries about how to make the transition to organic production.
“While people from all parts of the organic sector have helped put together and staff our Fieldays presence, special recognition deserves to be given to Heidi von Pein and Mike Palmers, who developed and executed the site’s design”, Mr Shirley said.
OANZ’s site at Fieldays is M30 – directly outside the main pavilion.
