Cool Winter Solstice Giveaways

It's that time of the year again. You all feel it, I know you do. Unless you're somewhere North of here. This year's event has a plethora of live acts including locals and nationals, as well as the DJ action in the dance zone and the ambient zone.

And guess what? Yes that's right, you read the title of this article correctly, we have related giveaways. To be precise, have two tickets and Winter Solstice compilation CDs to give away.

All you have to do to enter the draw is go to [the solstice website], find out the names of five acts performing at the event. Also, you'll need to be a dunedinmusic.com member, and tell us your username in the email.

Entries must be in by the end of Wednesday, the 20th of June, New Zealand time. Enter now!

Hot Library Action!

Is happening as we speak, so to speak. The folks down at the Dunedin Public Library are having a giant book sale in their basement this weekend, and they made the enlightened decision to have musical entertainment. Of course, we were only too happy to help out!

So, today, patrons were entertained by Sunley, John Egenes, Molly van Dijk and Simon Kerr. We hope this message gets to you in time, so that you can head down tomorrow (Sunday the 17th) and catch Niamh O'Flynn, Inside My Speechbubble, Sam and Toki of the Irie E.
