Queen Street’s upgrade includes new BurgerFuel
MEDIA RELEASE 4 July 2007
Queen Street’s upgrade includes a new BurgerFuel store as the company continues to expand.
The fast-growing gourmet burger chain BurgerFuel arrives on Auckland’s Queen St on Monday 9 July with the opening of its 21st store just up from the Civic Theatre.
BurgerFuel, which is offering the public an opportunity to buy a stake in the company with its irreverent marketing programme, “Would you like shares with that?” delivers its customers made-to-order gourmet burgers using fresh natural ingredients and unique in-house sauces that are backed by high levels of training, standards, and systems.
BurgerFuel Managing Director Chris Mason says the BurgerFuel team is thrilled to be adding some more heart to Queen St.
“City workers, tourists and students alike who are after a great burger will not be disappointed,” says Mason.
The company has grown from five in March 2004 to 21 stores this month. It opened its first store in Sydney just before Christmas and is planning to open its flagship Australian store in King Cross shortly.
Chris Mason opened the first BurgerFuel store 12 years ago in Auckand’s Ponsonby Rd.
The company’s share offer closes on July 16 2007.
