Hellaby Holdings Expands Packaging Group
Hellaby Holdings today advised that its subsidiary Elldex Packaging has entered into an agreement to acquire all of PPL Corporation Limited's business and assets.
PPL is a Wellington-based manufacturer and importer of LDPE flexible packaging, specialising in the supply of low-density plastic packaging materials for the meat, horticultural, timber and retail sectors. Hellaby CEO, John Williamson said that PPL's core business of LDPE packaging fitted with the existing Elldex product range and would be a complementary addition to Elldex Packaging'.
'The PPL business has a strong position in key niche categories in the New Zealand packaging sector. We believe we can continue to grow PPL as part of a wider Hellaby packaging business', he said.
PPL will continue to operate as an independent, stand-alone business under the umbrella of Elldex Packaging. Due to a confidentiality undertaking with PPL commercial details of the transaction cannot be revealed at this time.
