Millbrook Wins World-Class Recognition 3rd Time

Millbrook Wins World-Class Recognition For Third Year

Queenstown's five-star Millbrook resort has been named for the third year among the top 25 hotels in Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific.

Millbrook is one of only four New Zealand properties to make the list in the prestigious Travel & Leisure annual World's Best reader's poll.

In the magazine's 12th annual poll, published in the August edition and online at www.travelandleisure.com , Millbrook ranked 12th behind world-renowned Huka Lodge, which came top of the list overall.

Millbrook moved up from 14th position last year and ranked ahead of top properties in Auckland and Christchurch. Millbrook first featured in the top 25 list in 2004, and in 2005 achieved global recognition by being named among the top 500 hotels in the world.

Travel & Leisure is the world's leading travel magazine with a circulation of a million. In the poll, readers were asked to rate hotels on rooms and facilities, location, service, restaurants and food, and value. Readers could also comment on the hotel's services for business and families.

Millbrook General Manager Jan Hunt said the ranking was once again a huge accolade for the hotel, its management and team.

"To consistently rank so highly among our guests against some renowned competition says much for our personalised and dedicated service, our stunning location and premier facilities," she said.

"Accolades like this have also played a part in securing our position as the official hotel for the New Zealand Golf Open in November," she said.

Set in a natural alpine amphitheatre on 500 acres, Millbrook features a championship golf course in an inspiring and invigorating location, a history of tradition that spans 150 years, luxury accommodation with a French influence, exceptional dining options and The Spa at Millbrook, with its leading edge treatments.
