Achievement for Opus
Opus International Consultants announced today that they have purchased Queensland based engineering and architectural consultancy Group 42 Consulting Ltd.
Group 42, which was founded in 1962 operate from three locations in Queensland: Brisbane, Toowoomba and Ipswich, where they provide services to local authorities, Queensland Main Roads and the providers of childcare facilities and schools.
In making the announcement, Opus Chief Executive, Dr Kevin Thompson, said that this will extend the position and presence of Opus in Queensland and broaden its capacity and capability through adding the additional local knowledge and experience of the Group 42 team.
“This acquisition will further add to our client base, particularly in the local authority sector and allow us to introduce our skills in transportation asset management, building design and in the water sector,” said Dr Thompson. ”
The new business will operate as Opus International Consultants. Opus currently also has offices in Sydney and in three in Western Australia and is looking to expand further in Australia.
