Be a winner at the Wellington Small Business Expo

Be a winner at the Wellington Small Business Expo

If you’re good at picking the NZ /US dollar rate, you could win $US500 at the Wellington Small Business Expo. The expo comes to Wellington this week from 18-20 July and 2300 people have already registered for the event.

To celebrate being part of Wellington’s first Small Business Expo, foreign currency traders Elldridge Lynch Group are offering the competition from their exhibit at site 138 at the TSB Arena. The person who guesses closest to the NZD/USD midrate at 9.30 am on 23 July will receive $US500 from Elldridge Lynch Group.

It’s not the only freebie on offer at the Small Business Expo. A free NEC desktop computer worth around $1599 will be given away each day of the expo in a competition being held by Power IT. They will also be giving away memory sticks and printers from their expo stand.

The National Bank Seminar Series will be free to everyone visiting the Small Business Expo. Over 40 expert speakers, including five well-known keynote speakers, will be discussing a wide range of subjects at the expo. Topics include marketing, exporting, law, accounting, e-commerce, franchising, HR, intellectual property and telecommunications.

The Minister for Small Business Hon. Lianne Dalziel is the first keynote speaker of the series; a champion for small business, she will speak at the TSB Arena on 18 July at 1pm. Other speakers include Jon Mayson, President of Export New Zealand, Sarah Gibbs and Catherine de Groot, exporters and creators of the natural skin care range Trilogy, Ken Stevens, business champion for official Export Year 2007 and Executive Chairman of export star Glidepath and David McKee Wright, CEO of Sealegs.
