Country Road Selects UC4 Software to Automate Oracle® Retail Environment
UC4 Continues to Expand Market Presence in Asia-Pacific Region
SHANGHAI,
CHINA--(Marketwire - July 30, 2007) - ORACLE OPENWORLD
ASIA-PACIFIC -- UC4 Software today announced that Country
Road Limited, the iconic Australian provider of fashion and
contemporary homewares, has selected the AppWorx product to
optimize its Oracle® Retail deployment. AppWorx offers a
standard set of integrated process templates that require no
scripting and automatically execute in accordance with
Oracle Retail's run book.
"A large amount of customization and scripting was required to integrate our existing scheduler with Oracle Retail," said David von Blanckensee, solutions architect at Country Road. "We chose AppWorx for its tight integration and easy implementation, which allows us to streamline our business processes and ultimately reduce the total cost of ownership for Oracle Retail."
Country Road owns or operates on concession more than 130 stores across Australia and New Zealand and is the latest customer win in the region for UC4. The Austria-based company is a leading provider of IT process automation software and continues to grow Asia-Pacific operations to support strategic alliances and accelerated sales.
"Agile business is powered by flexible IT automation," said Bill Wrenn, president of UC4 Software Inc. "A tool that integrates systems and automates application processes without bias is needed to meet modern business demands as companies move toward the real-time enterprise."
In addition to automating Oracle Retail, Country Road plans to retire its current enterprise job scheduler and standardize IT process automation on the AppWorx technology. Country Road joins other leading organizations with Asia-Pacific operations that depend on UC4 Software, like Colorado Group, Mitsubishi Motor Company, T-Systems Singapore, Coates Hire, Cadbury Schweppes, Lion Nathan and Cuscal.
"AppWorx is an enterprise-level solution that protects IT investments by further automating business processes across disparate applications," said Ahdy Awad, vice president of Asia-Pacific sales for UC4 Software. "As part of their continuous improvement process, Country Road chose AppWorx to consolidate multiple application schedules into a single tool."
UC4 Software's Asia-Pacific regional sales and support operations are based in Melbourne, Australia. The company maintains strategic global partnerships with Oracle, SunGard Higher Education, Open Solutions Inc., Sun Microsystems, SAP and other leading technology providers.
