Smallcaps.co.nz markets Tasman Capital IPO
Smallcaps.co.nz markets Tasman Capital IPO
Smallcaps.co.nz and operating company Small Cap Research Limited, have arranged to help advertise and market the Tasman Capital IPO.
Tasman is the first company to engage in an advertising agreement with smallcaps.co.nz and it is likely to be followed by others as the website builds upon a solid track record of bringing in highly relevant traffic as well as maintaining valuable and insightful content.
The Tasman IPO is particularly relevant to smallcaps.co.nz as it is seen as being in the same spirit of enhancing opportunities at the smaller end of the market. Indeed if Tasman is successful more small cap companies will come to market, creating more opportunities for smallcaps.co.nz as well as the investing public.
Tasman Capital is seeking to issue 3,000,000 shares at a price of 10 cents per share, and a min/max subscription of 5000 shares. Their business plan is to utilise a large shareholder base, ideally 500, to create shell companies in order to facilitate backdoor listings of companies on the NZSX and NZAX markets.
Over time Tasman expects to build up holdings in a range of companies as a result of this activity, and shareholders of Tasman will receive shares in these newly listed companies for free, as well as having the opportunity to participate in further capital raising e.g. via rights issues, share purchase plans, or option issuance.
It is an innovative and interesting concept, but also one of high risk, so investors should read the prospectus and obtain professional advice before arriving at a decision. A copy of the prospectus has been made available on the smallcaps.co.nz website, and can also be downloaded from the Tasman Capital website at www.tasmancapital.co.nz
