Wellington Co expands operations into US Midwest

PR: Capital C: Concerts
17 August 2007

Immediate Release.

Wellington Company expands operations into the American Midwest.

Wellington concert promoter Capital C: Concerts, currently promoting the only NZ concert of superstar Elton John, has just announced it is a partner in the newly created Majestic Concerts group based in the state of Arkansas.

Company CEO Phil Sprey says, ‘we spotted an opportunity that caters for a particular demographic in the middle of the USA which has not been well serviced by either the East or West Coast parts of the industry and working with our American partners have developed a strategy that while not a big footprint is nevertheless a solid start to our growth path.’

‘With a longtime presence in the area’ says Sprey, ‘Capital C: Concerts has used its offices in Missouri and Arkansas to expand relationships with talent agencies and artist management and we see this new direction as further reinforcement of our commitment to quality entertainment presentation and production.’

Capital C: Concerts opened it’s American office in 1997 and has used this link to bring a number of exhibitions, events and touring concerts to New Zealand and the Pac Rim.

Majestic Concerts has just announced it’s first concert with Bela Fleck and the Flecktones and is in negotiation for other top line artist for the same region later in the year.
