Summer Ale Is Back
It’s back – Monteith’s most
popular summer beer has returned to celebrate daylight
savings from Sunday 30th September in all Monteith’s Craft
Beer Bars. With long, warm summer days quickly approaching,
what better way to refresh yourself than with an enlivening
Monteith’s Summer Ale?
First released to the New Zealand market in 1998, Monteith’s Summer Ale has steadily increased in popularity each summer in bars, restaurants, liquor stores and supermarkets nationwide. While bottled beer is widely available, Summer Ale is only available on tap via the 20 Monteith’s Concept Bars.
Monteith’s Summer Ale is currently available at Monteith’s Concept Bars and will be released to grocery and specialist retailers on October 1st.
Summer Ale will also be available on tap at exclusive brand events throughout the summer where people can experience this beer at its freshest. Like all Monteith’s tap beer Summer Ale is cold filtered - not pasteurised - ensuring the freshest tasting beer.
An incredibly successful limited release brewed by the Monteith’s Brewing Company, Monteith’s Summer Ale has averaged double digit growth each season to be the #1 selling Monteith’s style each Summer.
Monteith’s marketer, Malcolm Everts attributes the styles success to the way it captures the New Zealand summer lifestyle.
“It encapsulates all the enjoyable aspects of summer, and this year we’re launching a 12 pack complete with carry handle making it easier than ever to carry to the beach, batch or BBQ
“Monteith’s summer ale is a refreshing full strength 5% ale, brewed with 4 premium malts & a touch of rata honey from the West Coast to give it a spicy, sweet edge that is refreshing, easy drinking & full of flavour.
Perfect for BBQ’s or drinks at the beach, Summer Ale complements lighter summer foods such as fresh salmon, trout, salads or stir-fry’s – but the first challenge for summer is to catch the trout!
