Global BPM deal delivers better solutions faster

Business Process Management (BPM) solutions provider The ECN Group is introducing a next-generation of BPM tools to service the needs of Australasian organisations.

ECN - a subsidiary of New Zealand Post - has signed partnership agreements with Singularity, Ireland based developer of the acclaimed Singularity Process Platform (SPP), and with NZ Business Rules Engine provider Idiom to provide a genuinely world-beating BPM product suite.

In announcing the partnership, ECN CEO John Axe said "using SPP and Idiom, the evaluation team delivered on the proof of concept requirements in only 5 days - this was originally expected to take 3 weeks, so this was a truly impressive result. I'm confident that we've selected a world-class BPM and Business Rules platform that will deliver agile and cost effective solutions to our customers".

By combining the deep BPM capabilities of SPP with leading business rules management from Idiom, ECN can now offer true business systems agility to the Australasian market - and also to Asia through its office in the Philippines.

ECN is strategically realigning to focus on logistics process automation and supply chain visibility. Working in collaboration with NZ Post, ECN intends to initially deploy this toolset in the NZ Post environment to build new products relating to international mail logistics.

Together, the two toolsets offer the opportunity to rapidly improve business processes, allowing a speedy return on investment. Singularity's Process Accelerators allow improved processes to be deployed in less than 90 days, on a platform that allows any required changes to be made with ease - so organisations can start seeing measurable benefits from their implementation almost straight away.

Both Singularity and Idiom are best-of-breed solutions which feature in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for their respective categories.
