Stand By Your Dan!
Mobil stations around the country are selling a collection of official All Blacks figurines, hugely popular with New Zealand’s multitude of All Blacks fans in this world cup year.
However, one small problem has emerged with the figurines. A small proportion of the Dan Carters tend to topple over.
“We wanted them to be dynamic figures in realistic action poses that reflect their positions on the field. They all look great but perhaps we were a little too ambitious with Dan Carter – balancing on one leg while punting the ball proved to be a bit tough for the miniature Dan,” said a spokesperson from New Zealand Sports Merchandising, the supplier of the figurines to Mobil.
What can disappointed customers do about it?
“You can exchange the figurine or get a full refund at participating Mobil stations, or simply use some blue tack, and Dan will keep his balance perfectly – as we know he always does!”
