Small Cap Research Limited has bought shares.net.nz
Small Cap Research Limited, the company behind the SmallCaps.co.nz website, has purchased the shares.net.nz website, adding new content and coverage to the overall smallcaps.co.nz offering.
The shares.net.nz website will be integrated into the smallcaps.co.nz website.
SmallCaps.co.nz is a niche website that focuses on the smaller companies of the New Zealand share markets; providing basic financials and analysis, as well as a collection of other information and share price history.
This focus is in response to a perceived lack of information and coverage in the smaller end of the market, with brokers often finding it uneconomical to cover the smaller companies, and the companies themselves not always providing complete and convenient information access.
Going forward the aim is to increase the availability and quality of information, including fully replicated financial statements, enhanced analytics, commentary, and even content provided by the companies featured on the website.
Supporting this will be features on the new shares.net.nz platform such as the M&A section, and a planned capital raisings section, as well as the IPO section and education section on the main website.
There is also a free update and monthly newsletter service available to visitors of the website, which can be joined by clicking the “join the mailing list” link.
Alongside all of this is a separate sub domain that focuses solely on the Unlisted trading facility, where information can often be very difficult to come by.
Overall SmallCaps.co.nz is well on its way to becoming a key resource for investors in the New Zealand equity markets.
