Jade Software Corporation Wins Air NZ Contract

Jade Software Corporation wins Air New Zealand contract

Air New Zealand today confirmed the continuation of Jade Software Corporation (Jade) as its crew incentive pay management software.

The complex rules around managing Air New Zealand's airline crews incentive and trip entitlements have for many years been written in JADE - an object orientated programming language promoted by Jade Software Corporation. Air New Zealand announced today that it has signed a five year application Support and Development contract with Jade to continue to develop and support this complex system.

In announcing the continuing association the Air New Zealand, Jade's Managing Director Dr Rod Carr commented that he was delighted that two iconic New Zealand businesses would continue to work together.

"It is satisfying to see a New Zealand IT supplier succeed at home. All too often it seems IT buyers in New Zealand are reluctant to back locally developed technologies against the offerings of bigger foreign branded services," Dr Carr said.

Air New Zealand General Manager Financial Shared Services, Andrew McCurdie, said he was pleased Jade, which won the business on the basis of cost effectiveness and technical ability, would continue its 20 years association with Air New Zealand.
