North Shore to host B.iQ Convention
North Shore to host ground breaking B.iQ Convention
One of the North Shore’s biggest business events ever – the B.iQ one day convention – promises some common, and not so common, business learning activity in mid-November, including golf, ‘think tanks’ and business ‘dancing’.
The Business.iQ Convention, which features ten top nationally renowned speakers and deputy leader and finance spokesman for the National Party, Bill English, has been formatted to give delegates an opportunity to meet with other local business owners, question the experts and brainstorm their own future business plans.
Convention director, Rouxelle De Villiers, said most business owners tended to get caught up in the day to day running of a business and often put off planning for the future until it was too late.
“The Business.iQ Convention has been designed to stimulate and kick-start the business planning process, as well as the sharing of new ideas.”
Included in the convention is a BNI hosted networking function whereby business owners will get to spend one-on-one time with another business owner in a structured format that BNI calls ‘dancing’.
Besides meals, prizes, gifts and tools, business owners will hear from top speakers such as Alison Mooney, Bill James, Mike Loftus, David Kelly, Mike Atkinson, Andrew Smith and world champion Toastmaster David Nottage.
Topics to be covered include:
* Discover how techniques used by the FBI to get inside the criminal mind can help boost business;
* Loyalty strategies to keep customers coming back for more; and
* The secret to exploding sales profits in three easy steps.
During break times, delegates will be able to relax in the business books lounge, test drive luxury cars, improve their golf swing with a golfing professional or visit the Business Smarties Expo for five minute sessions with exhibitors.
Enterprise North Shore CEO, Terry Hoskins, said they would be encouraging business owners to attend. “It will be rewarding for them, both for the content and the networking,” he said.
The B.iQ Convention is being held on Thursday 15 November at the North Harbour Stadium and starts at 7:30am. Visit www.biq.co.nz for more information
