Nomads Fat Camel Backpackers Wins Golden Backpack Award For “Best Hostel In New Zealand”

Nomads Fat Camel Backpackers Hostel was announced winner “Best Hostel in New Zealand” at the inaugural Golden Backpack Awards last week. The Golden Backpack Awards are Australia and New Zealand’s first and only dedicated awards program for the independent travel sector.

Run by TNT Magazine, the Golden Backpack Awards saw a national & Trans-Tasman campaign in print and online at TNT magazines web site, to gather votes from consumers in more than 30 categories. More than 3,500 votes were received via the website, email and forms in TNT magazine and in various locations across the region.

Nomads Fat Camel Hostel, is located in central Auckland and offers the backpacker a safe, secure and fun travellers community. With apartment style accommodation, offering a variety of accommodation options from dorms/share accommodation to private double and twin rooms, the property offers security swipe cards, travel desk, internet facilities and bar with loads of activities as well as a free nightly meal.

In addition to Best Hostel in New Zealand, Nomads Fat Camel Hostel also took out the highly commended (runner up) award for best bar in New Zealand.

Nomads World Hotels were also successful winners of “Best Backpackers Hostel in Victoria, Australia” for their flashpacking property - Nomads Industry Hostel Melbourne and received a highly commended award for “Best Hostel in NSW” for Legend has it Westend Sydney.
