Rockburn Strikes Gold
Rockburn Strikes Gold
The 2006 Rockburn Pinot Noir has
earned a gold medal at the 2007 Air New Zealand Wine Awards,
New Zealand's premier wine competition.
The
competition is owned and organised by New Zealand
Winegrowers, the national organisation for the country's
1,300 grape growers and winemakers. This year, more than
1,500 wines were judged by 16 local and international judges
to identify medal and trophy winners for each of the
varietal categories. This is the highest number of entries
ever received in the history of the Air New Zealand Wine
Awards.
In addition to the gold medal, the Rockburn "Parkburn" Riesling 2007 also took home silver, while the Rockburn Pinot Gris 2006 won bronze.
