Farmside and Elders Extend Rural Broadband Reach

Farmside Media Release 16 November, 2007 For Immediate Release

Farmside and Elders Extend Rural Broadband Reach

Rural broadband provider Farmside has extended the reach of rural broadband even further through a strategic alliance agreement with rural service supplier Elders Rural Holdings Limited.

Under the agreement, Elders customers will benefit from an Elders broadband package at a discounted rate. Elders will actively promote the Farmside offer through the Elders’ nationwide network of representatives and other customer communications channels.

“Broadband is a powerful time saver and productivity tool for farming and business,” says Elders Card Operations Supervisor Josie Sutton.

“We see the strategic alliance with the country’s leading rural broadband provider, Farmside, as one of the best ways to provide immediate and direct benefit to all our customers. Our extensive rural customer base deserves the speed, quality, and flexible range of internet services that Farmside provides, and we are both pleased and proud to be able to offer high quality and competitive rural broadband services through our Elders Card product,” she says.

The Elders/Farmside relationship is the latest in a series of channel partnerships Farmside has entered into with leading rural suppliers. Existing Farmside channel partners include Ashburton Trading Society Limited (ATS), Combined Rural Traders Society (CRT), Farmlands Trading Society Limited and RD1.

Farmside Sales and Marketing Director, Nick Carter, says the recent addition of Elders to the Farmside channel partner programme is another milestone for rural broadband uptake.

“We’re excited about working with Elders who, like Farmside, have a well-established rural pedigree. The nationwide availability of Farmside broadband access, combined with the rural market presence of our channel partners, provides a winning platform for the provision of first class and future proof communications services throughout New Zealand’s rural and provincial sectors,” he says.
