When Michael Campbell lands in New Zealand this month firmly focused on a win at the New Zealand Golf Open in Queenstown, he'll be getting full backing from his partnership with Canterbury of New Zealand.

Along with his Michael Campbell Collection of golf clothing, produced as a joint venture with Canterbury of New Zealand, he'll also be wearing Canterbury's revolutionary baselayer garments with IonX utilising state-of-the-art Ionised Energy Fabric, which helped to power the Rugby World Cup winning team South Africa to victory.

CCC Baselayer IonX delivers ionic energy to the body through a negatively charged electromagnetic field, improving the delivery of oxygen to the muscles through the bloodstream, producing a small, but perceptible edge in performance that Campbell hopes will take him back to the top.

Michael Campbell and Canterbury International formed a joint venture in 2006, creating the Michael Campbell Collection. The distinctive clothing is instantly recognisable with its authentic Maori designs, each symbolising a powerful mythological story which Michael draws upon to bring him strength and inspiration.

Colin Gibson, Marketing Manager for Canterbury, commented "We are thrilled to have a player of Michael's calibre on board to work with us in developing a golf apparel range. His profile, combined with the distinctive graphics on the garments have made this a very successful venture and positioned Canterbury as a credible brand in the golfing world."
