Woodruffe joins Intermediary

Former Communications Manager for Leighton Contractors moves to PR arm of Largest New Zealand Independently Owned Communications Partnership

Kate Woodruffe, MPRiNZ, APR (Accredited PR Practitioner) joins the Auckland office of Intermediary Communications as Two-in-C and Client Services Director. Kate was previously New Zealand Communications Manager for Leighton Contractors responsible for developing all internal and external communications for New Zealand operations and projects, and providing support to its Melbourne office.

She is widely experienced in brand management, the development of external corporate messaging and ensuring environmental and social objectives are included in communications initiatives. Kate has championed carbon footprint reduction, developed sustainability reports and is a passionate advocate for corporate social responsibility. She is a multiple PRiNZ Award winner known for adept management of PR risk and opportunity especially for her work with the Northern Gateway Alliance on the ALPURT B2 motorway project.

Intermediary forms part of what is now one of the country’s largest independently owned communications partnerships, which includes MediaR, a fully accredited media buying shop, Mallville Marketing, a strategic advertising agency, Blackpepper, an interactive e-commerce specialist and Waiata Publishing.
