Pyjama Club Makes Its Debut

Press Release

Pyjama Club Makes Its Debut

Auckland, 7 January 2008: Parents can now enjoy Club Med’s evening entertainment while the children are looked after at the new ‘Pyjama Club’.

“This new evening childcare service is a result of feedback from guests who wanted to enjoy the nightlife at Club Med and have their children looked after out of the normal kids club hours,” says Kaarin Gaukrodger, Club Med Marketing Manager New Zealand.

Pyjama Club is run at the on-site childcare facilities at Club Med Bali, Bintan Island in Indonesia, Phuket in Thailand, Cherating in Malaysia and Sahoro in Japan. It is available for 2 to 8-year-olds, from 9pm to 1am and there is an additional charge.

“Children can relax and watch videos, read or have a sleep until their parents arrive to pick them up,” Kaarin says.

Club Med caters for all markets and is a popular family holiday destination. It originated the all-inclusive package concept more than 55 years ago and recently expanded it to include all day bar and snacking. Guests can now enjoy an extensive menu of cocktails, mocktails, soft drinks, beer and finger food throughout the day and night without paying any extra at all Club Med resorts.

The focus on personal choice extends to outdoor activities where guests have access to expert guidance in a wide range of sports such as archery, tennis, golf and sailing.

Club Med has a special deal on offer at selected resorts where the second person stays free (airfare and transfers not included). Save from $1,959 per couple.

This deal is available at Club Med Bali, Bintan Island in Indonesia, Bora Bora in Tahiti, Cherating Beach in Malaysia and Kani in the Maldives and Phuket in Thailand. The deal is valid for sales until January 31 2008 and travel up to April 30 2008.
