New ProCurve Switch 2610 Series

New ProCurve Switch 2610 Series Further Enhances Secure Converged Network Applications

The ProCurve Switch 2610 Series is the next generation of enterprise edge switches, improving features to enhance network edge connectivity and convergence for customers in medium and large enterprises. With proven standards-based technology, the 2610 Series enables secure, reliable 10/100 connectivity for converged network applications. The five new switches include two with PoE, two without PoE and a hybrid option.

Key Features and Benefits of the 2610 Series

Convergence: Multicast traffic control, QoS, 802.3af standard PoE and support for pre-standard legacy PoE equipment enable wired and wireless deployments of Unified Communications, VoIP and video streaming.

Security: Access Control Lists (ACL) allows network administrators to control both inbound and outbound traffic. sFlow traffic sampling technology improves traffic management and network monitoring to detect and prevent threats when used with ProCurve Network Immunity Manager.

Flexibility: Five new switches, all with a shallow form factor, include one fanless switch for open office deployments and one hybrid switch for environments that do not require PoE on every port.

Additionally, ProCurve’s network management features and lifetime warranty(1) make the 2610 Series a cost-effective solution for customers who are building enterprise edge networks and remote offices and workgroups.
