IPFX Launches Revolutionary New
Software
Solution aimed to provide long term productivity gains
New Zealand-based software development company IPFX has launched the first building block of its new Unified Communications product range which will provide businesses with demonstrable long term productivity gains â“ giving them a true competitive edge.
The new software, IPFX 5.1, is the first announced from a new product suite – called IPFX DIMENSIONS. It is being launched at an exciting time for the rapidly-growing company which has been in the New Zealand market for over twelve years and has offices in Australia, the UK and the US.
Alliances and Marketing Manager Ken Erskine says the IPFX 5.1 software is the first in a series of releases, which will see new Mobile Unified Communications applications and productivity modules added.
“Over the coming months IPFX DIMENSIONS will bring additional and significant Unified Communications functionality developments to market, including integration with Microsoft OCS, together with revolutionary new productivity enhancements, all part of a modular and integrated solution. IPFX 5.1 includes beta support for IPFX new Mobility suite running on Blackberry handsets.
“Along with our customers and channel partners we are excited about the arrival of IPFX 5.1 which provides IP Telephony and Unified Communications functionality. This includes support for Cisco Unified Call Manager Version 6.x, and NEC PBX plus IPFX’s own SIP-based IP PABX, plus integration with Microsoft Vista/Outlook 2007 and Lotus Notes 5,†says Mr Erskine.
The IPFX DIMENSIONS suite is made up of four key software categories; Unified Productivity, Contact Centre, Unified Communications and telephony platforms. Each is tightly integrated and provides market leading functionality and performance.
IPFX was awarded an investment package worth approximately NZ$800,000 from the Foundation for Research, Science and Technology (FRST) to support the development of the software.
Senior business manager for FRST, Tom Mcleod, says: “IPFX is a successful exporter and high growth company with excellent prospects for further expansion and the new technology developed with support from the Foundation will help it promote innovative solutions to increase employee productivity.â€
