National and trans-Tasman law firm Duncan Cotterill is further expanding in Sydney with the appointment of Neil Scott to the firm as a partner.
Scott began legal practice in Christchurch 30 years ago, moving to Sydney in 1981. He initially practised with major Sydney law firm Freehills before joining Middletons Moore & Bevins, where he was partner for almost 10 years, specialising in banking and finance and mining law.
After several years working in investment banking and in a family retail business, Scott established his own commercial law firm, Neil Scott Lawyers, in 1999.
He has been a director of a number of public listed and private companies, is a past Chairman of the Australia-New Zealand Business Council, and is a past committee member of the NSW branch of the Petroleum Exploration Society of Australia.
Duncan Cotterill has offices in Christchurch, Auckland, Wellington, Nelson and Sydney.
