iQToys.co.nz a Hitwise Online Performance Award Winner!
Tauranga-based online retailer, iQ Toys (www.iqtoys.co.nz) was last week announced as the #1 website in the Toys & Hobbies industry for 2007 at the annual Hitwise Online Performance Awards. The Awards recognise excellence in online performance through public popularity, awarding websites in over 100 categories. Other winners in 2007 include Air NZ for Commerical Airlines, Trade Me for Auction websites and Oxfam for the Humanitarian category.
Results of the Hitwise Online Performance Awards are based on the internet usage of approximately 460,000 New Zealand Internet users visiting over 43,000 New Zealand websites, with winners receiving the greatest market share of visits throughout 2007 in their industry.
Shane Loomb, Managing Director of iQ Toys says "Receiving this award culminates what has been a very successful year for us in which we also recognised in the Deloittes Fast 50 as the 41st fastest growing company in New Zealand and relocated to an 840 sqm warehouse in Mount Maunganui"
iQ Toys and sister company Baby Universe (www.babyuniverse.co.nz) are now a multi-million dollar business employing 8 full time staff. Sales are expected to grow by 30-50% in the coming year and staff numbers forecast to increase to 15 in 2008/09.
