Transfield Services Appoints New
Executive General Manager For Facilities
Management
Transfield Services has appointed Steve Webster to the role of Executive General Manager, Facilities Management.
In this role, Steve has overall responsibility for Transfield Services’ facilities management contracts, including the New Zealand Defence Force in Ohakea and Waiouru, Telecom New Zealand, Housing New Zealand in Manukau, Water Infrastructure Services in Northland, and the Hokianga ferry service.
He brings a wealth of experience to the role through his previous senior management positions within Transfield Services, including managing the rail division for four years. Steve also held several business development roles with the company between 2000 and 2005.
His previous experience is firmly aligned to the engineering and industrial sectors in New Zealand. Before joining Transfield Services, he held management positions with Alstom, GEC Avery, and Fletcher Challenge.
In addition, Steve has significant experience in growing sustainable businesses and establishing strong partnership relationships.
Previous head of Facilities Management, Wayne Clapp, was appointed to the position in 2006 and has now moved to the position of Executive General Manager, Development.
