Turns Up The Volume To Bag Big Book Prize
Wellington woman Paula Banham is about to go on a book-buying frenzy.
The Silverstream resident has just won a whopping $1,250 voucher from book retailer Dymocks – the biggest jackpot prize the company has offered in New Zealand.
She turned up the volume on Classic Hits breakfast radio to win the ‘Guess The Guest’ competition, where three listeners a day have the chance to guess the mystery voice. The daily $50 prize had remained unclaimed over 25 weeks and jackpotted to the total of $1250.
Dymocks general manager Andrew Howard said Mrs Banham deserved her win.
“It’s great that the biggest jackpot prize we’ve ever offered in New Zealand has gone to someone who loves books so much. We wish Paula many happy hours of reading ahead,” he said.
