Sauvignon Blanc London Wine Challenge Winner

LONDON INTERNATIONAL WINE CHALLENGE WINNER
Saint Clair Sauvignon Blanc Crème of the Crop

The London International Wine Challenge hosts the largest wine contest in the world with over 9000 wines entered every year. Awards for the 2008 Challenge were announced today (16 June 2008) and Saint Clair Family Estate was awarded two of the top trophies, yet again reinforcing Saint Clair as New Zealand’s prestige producer of Sauvignon Blanc.

The Saint Clair Wairau Reserve Sauvignon Blanc 2007 won the Trophy for Best International Sauvignon Blanc and the Trophy for Best New Zealand White Wine.

This wine has already been awarded the Trophy for Champion Sauvignon Blanc at the Tri-Nations Wine Awards 2007 as well as gold medals at the NZ International Wine Show 2007 and Royal Easter Wine Show 2008. US wine publication, Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate, rated it at 91 points in April 2008.

This particular wine has been awarded an outstanding 41 gold medals and 30 trophies since 2001, making it New Zealand’s most awarded Sauvignon Blanc ever.

Limited stocks of Saint Clair Wairau Reserve Sauvignon Blanc 2007 are still available in New Zealand from selected fine wine stores. The wine is also listed at leading restaurants throughout the country.
