Eco Friendly Transport Gets Green Light From Hotel
Auckland City Hotel – Hobson St plans to
strengthen its environmentally-friendly offering by
providing ‘green’ transportation to guests.
General Manager Andy Tan says the new services will include the availability of a hybrid* vehicle to facilitate the pick-ups and drop-offs of guests, plus bicycles for guests to explore the waterfront and CBD.
Mr Tan says Auckland City Hotel – Hobson St has proved particularly popular with eco tourists and Government departments looking to reduce their carbon footprint while travelling.
“Going green has helped us to capture a part of the rapidly growing global eco-tourism market, so it’s something that we are continually expanding on. Our latest initiatives are designed to assist our guests to make their way around the city, carbon-free”, he says.
These initiatives cap off a busy month for the hotel with the farewell of Chief Operating Officer Bernard Soh. All enquiries relating to the hotel can now be directed to Mr Tan.
