Pioneer Retrofitted Regenerative Braking System

Octafuel World’s First To Pioneer Retrofitted Regenerative Braking System For Vehicles

OctaFuel – manufacturers, suppliers and installers of retrofitted Hybrid Fuel Cells – announced it has developed a retrofitted regenerative braking system for vehicles, at a price that most consumers can manage, says Michael Fresnel, Founder, OctaFuel New Zealand.

“Regenerative braking is about recovering energy when drivers put their foot on the brake – which reduces fuel costs,”explains Michael. “The technology is well-proven, having been fitted to more than a million motor cars worldwide over a variety of operating conditions, and now OctaFuel has taken the essence of that technology and made it affordable for everyday people.”

And, as far as he knows, until the OctaFuel solution, only motor vehicle manufacturers installed regenerative braking into their Hybrid line-up of vehicles – which he believes makes the OctaFuel retrofitted option entirely unique.

“OctaFuel may be first in the world to develop retrofitted regenerative braking – which is an exciting next step in the direction OctaFuel is taking Hybrid Fuel Cell and hydrogen technologies. This is great for consumers who can’t afford to purchase a new Hybrid car, or for people who have bigger cars and want to make them more fuel efficient. It means any vehicle – big or small – can go Hybrid and save money at the pump with OctaFuel. What’s more, watch this space –there’s plenty more going on at OctaFuel.”

He says OctaFuel will announce another cutting-edge technology in July that experts predict will become the norm in vehicles by 2012, to take retrofitted OctaFuel Hybrids even further.

“All of the technology is ready, but previously it was too expensive to bring to market. However with fuel prices continuing to rise and rise, it’s now viable.”

OctaFuel’s prices range between NZ$1,247 for the COMMUTER, their entry-level product, and NZ$5947 for the COMMERCIAL, their top of the line flagship product – and, says Michael, if you’re travelling more than 15,000 km’s per annum, installing an OctaFuel makes sense financially.

“We’re making it easy for consumers to get into our range of products – with interest-free and deferred payment finance options available. Quite frankly, if fuel costs are killing your budget, install an OctaFuel.”

Mr Fresnel invites vehicle owners to request a five-minute quote over the phone from OctaFuel. To find out more visit http://www.octafuel.com.
