Soljans Fusion Wins International Award
Soljans Fusion Wins International Award
Soljans Estate multiple award winning Fusion sparkling wine has been recognised at the 2008 ‘Muscats du Monde’ competition held recently in the Languedoc-Rousillon region in France. This international competition, now in its 8th year, recognises the world’s best Muscat wines.
Owner Tony Soljan says “We are delighted that our Fusion sparkling Muscat has been awarded a silver medal in this competition amongst its international peers. Over the past 8 years, Fusion has won more awards than any other New Zealand sparkling wine which is solid proof of its consistent high quality.”
The world’s best Muscat wines from 24 countries were tasted by more than 100 international expert judges over 2 days, with 33% of the wines winning awards.
Winemaker Mark Compton is delighted with the recent award for Fusion which follows the Trophy and Gold medal awards won in the 2004 Australian Small Vigneron Wine Awards.
This delicious, fruit-filled wine made from Muscat
grapes grown in Gisborne, is fragrantly perfumed and lively,
with a delicate alcohol, a refreshing sugar/acid balance,
and plenty of floral concentrated sweet flavours.
Fusion is available from the cellar door at the winery
in Kumeu Wine Country and from leading wine outlets.
