Nick Forbes, Auckland Airport General Manager Retail Moving On
Nick Forbes, general manager retail, Auckland International Airport Limited (Auckland Airport) has resigned to take up a new appointment as group retail operations director for Aer Rianta International (ARI). He will leave Auckland Airport in early November.
Nick joined Auckland Airport in his current role in May 2004. Since then he has successfully led the development and management of the company’s substantial retail, car parking, rental car and advertising business.
Don Huse, Auckland Airport chief executive officer, said Auckland Airport has a strong and well regarded retail team. They will ensure that our high quality retail offering continues and that our growth strategy for this important part of our business is delivered to plan.
ARI is a European based airport retail specialist. Nick will have full responsibility for its retail operations in Europe, Middle East and North America including Canada. He will be emigrating to Europe with his wife and young family.
“We thank Nick for his strong contribution and leadership during the past four years. We also wish Nick well in his role which is a significant career opportunity for him,” said Mr. Huse.
A process to recruit a new general manager - retail will soon commence.
