Witchery, one of Australia’s most
successful fashion brands, opens its much anticipated New
Zealand flagship store in Wellington’s trendy Featherston
Street today, with plans to roll out a further two new
stores in New Zealand before the end of the
year.
Witchery, a household name in Australia, has 132 Australian outlets including 32 concession stores at the high-end department store David Jones.
Last night there were celebrations held in the new store where guests viewed Witchery’s new Spring Summer 2008 Collection and celebrated the premier New Zealand opening.
Sarah Murtha, Witchery’s New Zealand Country Manager, says it’s been great to see everyone join in our excitement and enthusiasm for the brand.
“Witchery’s new flagship store design exudes luxury and glamour. It’s a modern mix of shapes and materials, from the feminine fabric choices to the clean, sophisticated lines of the furnishings, combined with a youthful, retro sense of style,” she says.
New Zealand stores already opened this year include Botany, Milford, Queentown, Nelson and Dunedin. Stores in Ponsonby and Christchurch are due to open before the end of the year, bringing the total number of New Zealand Witchery stores to 13.
Since August last year, Kiwi fashionistas have been able get their Witchery fashion fix from the New Zealand concession stores which were opened within top-end retailers Smith & Caughey’s in Auckland, Ballantynes in Christchurch and Kirkcaldie & Stains in Wellington.
These concession stores introduced the brand to New Zealanders and allowed New Zealand Witchery customers, who previously had to make a trip to Australia or shop online, to choose from the full fashion range in an intimate, beautifully designed space.
The new stores opening in New Zealand are all stand alone and offer the complete Witchery retail experience.
Witchery’s offerings include clothing, shoes, accessories, jewellery, an “at home” clothing range, intimates and beachwear. Witchery branded eyewear has recently been added to this list.
