Cadbury NZ Unaffected By Product Withdrawl
MEDIA RELEASE
30 September 2008
Cadbury New
Zealand Unaffected By Product Withdrawal
Quality and
safety are the highest priorities for Cadbury
Schweppes.
We have been monitoring the developing situation with regard to the contamination of dairy products with melamine in China with concern and the greatest sympathy for all those affected.
As a precautionary measure, we have decided to voluntarily withdraw from the Australian market 180g Cadbury Eclairs candy bags that were manufactured in China.
Cadbury does not import 180g Cadbury Eclairs candy bags into the New Zealand market and therefore there is no withdrawal occurring in New Zealand.
We are undertaking this voluntary withdrawal in Australia as a precaution to maintain our high quality standards.
Chinese dairy products are not used in any of our other Cadbury products we manufacture in Australia or New Zealand.
