Woolworths notes the announcement made today by The Warehouse relating to its Extra format.
Woolworths will evaluate if there is any impact of this announcement on the appeal process underway in the Supreme Court of New Zealand in respect of its declined application for clearance from the New Zealand Commerce Commission relating to The Warehouse.
Woolworths has not made a decision in respect of its shareholding in The Warehouse or any proposal. Woolworths continues to monitor the performance of The Warehouse, the New Zealand retail climate, financial market conditions and the outlook for the New Zealand economy.
