Club Med – Enchanting, Surprising

News Release

Club Med – Enchanting, Surprising

Auckland, October 13 2008 – Be surprised, spoilt and enchanted during your stay at Club Med with the resorts’ new Ambience Ephemeres settings.

Designed to enhance your holiday with a ‘surprising and memorable experience’ they are ‘appearing’ at all Club Med’s around the world.

“They are interactive ‘settings’designed to add an interesting new dimension to Club Med,” says Kaarin Gaukrodger, Club Med Marketing Manager New Zealand. “They are set up around the pool, in the resort gardens and on the beach and are ‘living poetry.’

“This is another unique concept for Club Med, which is constantly striving to deliver the best all-inclusive holiday to its guests.”

A survey was done of Club Med guests – or GMs as they are called – to find out what Club Med meant to them. Talented professional sceneographers Jean-Marc Gady and Benjamin Poulanges then translated the GMs thoughts into creative scenes to be set up around Club Med resorts.

The six ephemeres are entitled: Once Upon a Time, Ultranature, Ice & Fire, Lounge Pool, Fairy in the Garden and Sunset Boulevard. There are scenes to interest everyone, including some created especially for children and families as well as romantics.

“Children will be enchanted by the magical garden fairy scene and romantics will love the flowing white draped beach settings – perfect for an evening cocktail,” Kaarin says.

Gady has worked for Louis Vuitton, and Poulanges has created work for Versace and Jean Paul Gaultier.
