International airfares on grabaseat with a $1 reserve
The next round of international $1 reserve airfares including flights to London, Los Angeles, Osaka, Vancouver and Hong Kong are ready to be snapped up from tomorrow at grabaseat.co.nz.
Regional New Zealanders can get in on the action too, with the next round of auctions to include: Gisborne to London, Whangarei to Vancouver and Wanganui to Los Angeles.
The auctions start on Thursday morning on grabaseat.co.nz and will finish on Friday.
The first week of international $1 reserve auctions saw a whole lot of happy Kiwis grab some incredible deals, including return packages of four seats from Palmerston North to San Francisco going for $4820, four seats from Auckland to Los Angeles for $3720 and two seats from Christchurch to Beijing for $2730. All of these packages sold for less than half their normal retail price.
The dates for travel vary, with some trips starting this weekend. “For Kiwis who get the urge to get away on a Vancouver adventure or live it up in London, there is an opportunity to make that happen for a fraction of the price,” says grabaseat’s Nicki Garraway.
Ms Garraway says the first auction last week proved that despite the hard economic times, New Zealanders will grab a bargain and head overseas.
