AsureQuality appoints Training Manager

Peter Storey has been appointed Training Manager of AsureQuality, the country’s leading provider of food quality assurance and biosecurity services.

In his new role Peter will take over full management of the company’s training services, including development and implementation of a business wide training infrastructure.

He will also be actively involved in facilitating system improvements and strategy options aimed at improving customer service efficiency and delivery of new industry training programmes.

“There is so much potential in training and with 1700 people employed at more than 140 sites across New Zealand and Australia, I’m really excited about the vast opportunities within AsureQuality,” says Mr Storey.

Prior to joining AsureQuality, Mr Storey was Principal Lecturer and Horticulture Programme Manager at Wintec (Waikato Institute of Technology).

He has an extensive background in horticultural based training, having developed a range of diploma programmes at Wintec, including setting up horticulture campuses in Christchurch and Wellington. He has also spent five years in Samoa establishing horticulture, catering, tourism, and staff development programmes and departments.

AsureQuality’s people are located in the agricultural heartlands and span the entire food supply chain as well as all major primary industries.
