Napier, New Zealand. 21 November, 2008. Napier’s premier waterfront accommodation and boutique functions venue, The Crown Hotel announces the completion of its accommodation, meetings and dining expansion.

Partnering up with local restaurateur Sean Burns, formerly of Craggy Range and Cape Kidnappers, The Crown Hotel now has an exemplary culinary addition to its offerings in the form of Milk & Honey Restaurant. With Italian chef Paolo Pancotti in residence, the menu carries the hallmarks of his previous consulting roles with favourite Auckland eateries Prego and Vivace.

Milk & Honey’s menu is a sensational collection of dishes featuring the very best of Hawkes Bay produce and presented with a flash of Italian passion.
Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, guests can feast their culinary senses on dishes such as Slow braised lamb shank with grilled cabbage polenta and Linguine with Anchovy, aubergine and cherry tomato sauce or Beef Carpaccio with rocket salad, shaved Grana Padana cheese and lime dressing. Dessert lovers will not be found wanting with divinely decadent selections such as warm double chocolate served with Rush Munro’s Mochaccino ice cream. Likewise, connoisseurs of unique wines can indulge themselves with selections that make use of Sean’s local connections and would be hard to find outside of the region.


Works of acclaimed local artist Nic Scotland and renowned photographer Richard Brimmer both of who provide another showcase of talent from this region accentuates an easy yet sophisticated ambience.
