New Caledonia 2 for 1 - Strong sales extended

NEWS RELEASE

Campaign Success ‘More Than Imagined’

Auckland, New Zealand – 22 January 2009. The ongoing success of the ‘2 for 1’ holiday deals offered by New Caledonia Tourism in association with tourism partners has far exceeded expectation leading the tourism office to be coining their own new catchcry of “more than you can imagine.”

Such is the success that the offer has been extended for an additional week and will now end on the 30th of January 2009. New Caledonia Tourism regional manager Karen Priest commented that similar offers had been snapped up in 2008 by New Zealand holiday- makers however the new economic environment presented something of an “unknown quantity in being able to predict just how New Zealanders would react to the offer.”

Four night packages start from $1559 per person for two people including airfares, accommodation, taxes and transfers presenting a value packed post Christmas holiday offer with a range of additional hotel and resort options and holiday stays.

In addition to the ‘2 for 1’ offers being available from travel agents throughout New Zealand, travellers will also be eligible to enter an online competition to win NZ$1000 spending money for their trip to New Caledonia.

Just two and a half hours from Auckland, New Caledonia is gaining greater appeal with New Zealanders keen to experience French flair in a Pacific setting and is becoming as renowned for its culture and cuisine as its World Heritage Listed lagoon setting which completes this Pacific paradise.
