David Pearce has been appointed as the new Chief Executive for Canteen and with him brings experience earned from an extensive executive management career in NZ and internationally.

David’s career includes major roles at Fonterra and Unilever, primarily in Human Resources management, but also in Communications and Business Unit management. David has been involved with young people in many countries as part of his executive roles and has had exposure to fundraising projects both in New Zealand and in the US.

“I came to CanTeen because I had been inspired by the words and deeds of young CanTeeners I had met earlier, the experience of our National camp last week was even more inspiring,” says Pearce.

“These young people are brave and full of a positive spirit. It is going to be a privilege to work alongside them and help build on the great momentum established in CanTeen. Much progress has been made in how we support young people living with cancer, yet there remains considerable scope to do more.”
David began his new role gaining first hand experience with Canteen members at their National Camp in Taranaki last week.
