TVCAB Extends Services And Changes Name

The Television Commercial Approvals Bureau (TVCAB) has changed its name to the Commercial Approvals Bureau, or CAB for short.

With the support of the major television broadcasters, CAB’s approvals and classification services now cover non‐traditional broadcasting platforms such as video‐on‐demand, mobile television and IPTV services.

“These changes are part of an ongoing effort to prepare the Bureau for the future of broadcasting,” said Rob Hoar, General Manager of CAB. “Dropping the word television also gave us a good opportunity to refresh our 20 year old corporate identity."

To coincide with this change, CAB has launched a new website and relocated to new offices on level 5, 9 High Street in downtown Auckland.

The new website (www.commercialapprovals.co.nz) has improved information on NZ’s selfregulatory environment, a comprehensive standards reference section, topical news feeds and improved online services.

Maker developed the new site and Darryl Roycroft created the new corporate identity.
