Samsung builds on local success appointing Francis File as Senior Manager Sales & Marketing New Zealand

Samsung Electronics has appointed Francis File to the role of New Zealand Senior Manager Sales and Marketing for Consumer Electronics, IT and Appliances, effective immediately.

Daeki Min, General Manager Samsung New Zealand says ”We are pleased to see Francis File joining the company as we continue to strengthen the performance of Samsung in New Zealand, and establish our brand as the market-leading supplier in consumer electronics and white goods.”

Francis File is excited about the prospect, “Samsung’s presence has grown significantly in New Zealand during the past three years, and I will be working closely with my team to build on this success.”

The key responsibilities for the new role will be to build on existing relationships with local distribution and trade partners to give customers the best possible experience and make Samsung their first brand of choice. Mr File will report directly to Daeki Min.

With more than 23 years experience in marketing and retail, Mr File brings a wealth of knowledge to the new role, from previous positions with Farmers Trading Company, Pace and Philips, both here in New Zealand and in Asia Pacific markets.

He comes to Samsung after twelve years with Philips where he was regional Key Account Director for the Set Top Box business unit in Asia Pacific, based in Singapore, he also ran their Connected Homes programme.

File concludes “Samsung is a world leader in innovation and design and my job is to make sure that every New Zealander gets to experience the benefits of Samsung’s products, whether purchasing for the home or for the business.”
