Code Box due to be Released in Australia and New Zealand
Panztel Ltd, a leading provider of remote workforce management and creator of the eziTracker monitoring service are about to release their newest product – code box - throughout Australasia.
Panztel have recently purchased the rights to the code box business from Box 10 Technology Limited in the UK.
The code box is a small box that generates a code for workers to send via a text message from a mobile phone to eziTracker. Code boxes can be used where there is no fixed phone line and provides a simple and cost-effective method of accurately determining a person’s location. The agreement provides Panztel with the design rights to the code boxes and the associated software. Panztel will have direct control of the manufacturing process and will operate the Internetbased service that links code boxes to eziTracker.
EziTracker is a real-time monitoring service allowing remote, lone and community workers to log in and out by using a telephone at specific locations. This information is then provided in real-time to the client, giving them information on the actual time spent by a worker on location, details of work carried out, and travel times between visits. The eziTracker service has been developed to meet the needs of a wide range of industries that manage mobile workforces, such as cleaning, homecare, facilities management and anyone who employs staff who work on their own at remote locations.
Dave Ellis, Panztel’s Technical Director said “the code box has now become an important element of the eziTracker service and is used by Councils and independent homecare providers where the client receiving care does not have a phone. It is important that the service behind the code boxes is as reliable as other elements of eziTracker, and therefore we have decided to operate the service ourselves. We also plan to improve the supply chain to ensure a more reliable supply of the boxes. Now that we own the software we can enhance the code box to operate in other environments where the standard telephone is not the best solution for using eziTracker.”
Panztel also plans to introduce the code box in its Australian and New Zealand operations. Barry Williams, Sales Manager for ANZ said “we have seen the success of the codebox in the UK and positive feedback from our customers has encouraged us to operate the codebox service in Australia and New Zealand. We expect to start the service in mid 2009.”
