Wellington-Based EGL Receives Prestigious ESRI Partner Award

Explorer Graphics Ltd (EGL) is the recipient of the prestigious Partner of the Year Award for ESRI (Environmental Systems Research Institute) for the New Zealand Region while partner company, NorthSouth GIS LLC, received the award for the California Region.

Presented at the ESRI Business Partner Conference in Palms Springs, California this weekend, the Partner of the Year Award recognises those Business Partners who have made considerable contributions in GIS (Geographic Information Systems) technology and to ESRI. It is the first time that related companies have won both awards.

“To have related companies selected as Partner of the Year in two regions is unprecedented in ESRI’s history, and shows the dedication, skills and experience of our committed teams on both sides of the Pacific,” said David Pimblott, Managing Director of EGL.

EGL was nominated by Eagle Technology Group Ltd, the New Zealand ESRI distributor, and receives the award in recognition of its continued support, sales efforts, ingenuity, creativity and contribution to technical development in GIS in New Zealand.

EGL is a long-time ESRI Business Partner and user of ESRI products and has been using its world leading GIS software since 1987 to provide innovative business and technical solutions to the public and private sectors.
